Glass Frit Painting with Lyn & Jim – August 16th through 18th
90200 US 26, Government Camp, OR 97028 90200 US 26, Government Camp, OR, United StatesNo experience is needed for this glass frit painting class. This class will use glass powders and larger pieces of glass called frit to create two pictures. No glass cutting is involved.
Students will learn different techniques to create a design with glass powders and frit. We will learn about transparent and opalescent glass and the reactions between colors. We will also talk about the color wheel, light directionality, and how to operate a kiln.
You will leave the class with two 5"x7" finished and ready-to-frame pictures. You will leave with knowledge of how to use powders and frits in a fused glass piece, how to use a kiln, and the firing schedule.
