Origami Class: Fun Folding!

Origami is often described as meditative, therapeutic, providing a creative outlet for stress reduction. This all-level class teaches the Japanese art of paper folding, transforming paper into decorative, geometric and functional shapes. This session will cover essential techniques, reading, diagrams, and fundamental folds. Engineers, architects and young children all find origami fun and challenging. Participants develop fine motor skills and spatial awareness while creating unique artworks to take home. A 30-min lunch break will take place. Please bring your own lunch.
Instructor bio—
Eileen Holzman lives in Oregon and is a retired art educator and art therapist (registered and board certified). She is presently giving art therapy sessions with seniors in long term residential communities.
